I know I have not written in a while, but I have been very busy navigating new adventures with my students . . .

We have virtually traveled to UK, Spain, and Italy, applying to programs in Medicine; undergone Canadian Adventures from Vancouver to Montreal; visited new programs of Logistics in Germany; ventured through the state of Florida; researched for outstanding programs in Business and Communications worldwide.

Last Friday, I was talking with my cousins, about the incredible learning experience this year has been for everyone. Whether we learned how to meet with others online, survive without hugs from loved ones, reinvent ourselves and our way of living, or even dream about what we would like to learn next.

All in all, my brain worked very productively and I have to say creatively as well. I even had time to ponder about unusual ideas,  like wanting virtual meetings to have the ability to transmit smell. I am sure engineers somewhere could figure that out, since the images that keep popping into my head, belong to Mickey’s Philharmagic Ride, where “the subtle smell of apple pie wafts through the theater right after it makes impact with Donald’s face!”

I wish all of my students (one hundred and fifty and counting), receive the admission decisions that will pave their way to a successful future; I wish they keep pursuing their undergraduate and graduate degrees with determination;  I wish for them to continue making our world a better place, wherever their professional future has taken them.

To all of them and their families, the best wishes for an unforgettable healthy and safe 2021.
